RPT Slip-Ons

This slip-on muffler setup was designed specifically for the new Harley-Davidson Freewheeler model. Although it is based on the Tri-Glide platform, the Freewheeler is at least three inches shorter, causing regular bagger mufflers to stick out three-to four inches behind the rear panels.

So we made a set of mufflers just for the Freewheeler that fit much like the stockers. In fact, the Freewheeler specific fitment has approximately the same end point as the stock mufflers. When used with the stock head pipes, the mufflers are a simple bolt on.

We built chromed 3.75-inch muffler bodies that bell out at the end to four inches. They are capped off with black powder-coated, machined aluminum race pro tips. Each his held in place with seven, 12-point bolts, which match perfectly the aggressive styling of the Freewheeler. The internal construction of the muffler bodies consists of 2.25-inch perforated constant velocity cores, wrapped in woven fiberglass that is protected by a fiberglass wrap. This provides outstanding performance with a deep thundering bass note.

These slip-on mufflers come with Cobra’s limited Lifetime Warranty.

Cobra’s existing head pipes (part #6253 and new 6253DB-Dual Bung) also fit the Freewheeler. Fitment of the Cobra head pipes (or other aftermarket head pipes) requires Cobra’s “S” bends, Cobra part #6201T.

Emissions Notice

The state of California considers aftermarket exhaust systems to be legal replacement parts for non-catalyst equipped motorcycles and/or if slip-on mufflers are installed downstream of the OEM catalysts.

California does not allow the use of aftermarket systems that remove original equipment catalysts, (except for racing use only) unless the Air Resources Board has issued an Executive Order for that system.

For California riders we offer Air Resources Board approved Fi2000 R ARB units. (ARB E.O. No. D-633-1). All other Fi2000 models are not legal for street use in California.
