M109 Suzuki

Ken remembers getting a phone call back in the spring of 2006 from Garrett Kai, PR manager at American Suzuki. He said it is top secret, but Suzuki planned to unveil a brand new Super Cruiser at the August Suzuki dealer meeting in Dallas. Kai wanted to know if we were interested in building a custom version of the secret bike to show Suzuki's dealers at the same time as they got to see the M109 production bike As usual, Ken said sure, when can we get the bike?"In about 30 days" said Kai. Well, 30 days turned into 60, then 90 became 120. Finally less then five weeks before the meeting Garrett calls and says, "hey I got your bike." By then, Denny is really questioning whether he and the painter could pull this off in time. Not having seen the bike in person added to the mental strain. After looking at it in our R&D Department we all decided to give it a whack. Denny left for his Palm Springs hideaway while the search for a new painter went on. We tried to find a painter who would commit to doing the job in the few days we had to finish the bike.

This bike was on tour for nearly a year with Suzuki.

Emissions Notice

The state of California considers aftermarket exhaust systems to be legal replacement parts for non-catalyst equipped motorcycles and/or if slip-on mufflers are installed downstream of the OEM catalysts.

California does not allow the use of aftermarket systems that remove original equipment catalysts, (except for racing use only) unless the Air Resources Board has issued an Executive Order for that system.

For California riders we offer Air Resources Board approved Fi2000 R ARB units. (ARB E.O. No. D-633-1). All other Fi2000 models are not legal for street use in California.
